Major Characters. - Charles Darnay (originally in the Evremonde family): The agonist of the novel. He is a cut aristocrat by birth. He rejects his inheritance and his title, urgencying to overhear an honest living as a tutor in England. He marries Lucie Manette. She marries Charles Darnay. She gets along with everyone, and evreryone she meets state love and greetings to her. - Sydney Carton: Looks almost identical to Charles Darnay in appearance. He drinks a lot and gets drunk often. He also love Lucie Manette.
